OUR MISSION

 

LKC is committed to the sport of dogs And educating owners and breeders in the Hampton Roads area.  

The club and our members share the common interest of responsible dog ownership and community orientated activities with dogs.

We are an AKC Member Club and welcome all with an interest and love of dogs.

Langley Kennel Club...

  

*Works to publicly promote responsible dog ownership, providing educational materials and brochures covering topics such as training, caring for your dog in summer or winter weather, Canine Good Citizen Program, Spay & Neuter and many other topics.

 

* Works to encourage and promote the ethical breeding of pure bred dogs in order to maintain or improve their natural qualities.

 

 * Pledges to do all in its power to protect and advance the interest of pure bred dogs and to encourage sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, trials and matches.

   

* Will conduct sanctioned matches, dog shows, trials and exhibitions under the rules of the American Kennel Club. And welcomes the All American Dog to compete in Obedience, Rally and Agility competitions.

 

Langley Kennel Club meetings are held at an area restaurant on the Fourth Wednesday of every month, except for the months of March & November (third Wednesday).

There is no meeting held in  December.

 

Guests are very Welcome!

 

LKC membership is open to all persons eighteen years of age and older who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club and who subscribe to the purposes of the Club. Junior membership is open to all persons under eighteen years of age and bears all privileges of membership except the right to vote and the right to hold office.

 

Potential Members need to attend Two meetings prior to submitting their Application for Membership, with a check for Dues for that year. Club year runs from Nov. 1 to Oct.31.

unless otherwise noted. (It is not necessary to come for dinner if you only wish to attend the meeting.)

 

Directions:

Heading West on I-64 (From Norfolk): Take exit 258B US-17 N /George Washington Hwy. Go approx. 5.5 miles to Joe & Mimma’s in shopping center on Right.

 

 

Heading East on I-64 (from Richmond): Take exit 250B  Ft Eustis Blvd. toward Yorktown.  Ft. Eustis Blvd. Will dead end into George Washington Memorial Hwy/ US-17. Turn Right onto US-17 S and go approx. 2.2 miles. Joe & Mimma’s is in shopping center on the Left.
